When you are looking for development of a product that can be manufactured at home, the process is quite different. The parts and materials need to be simple, and easy to obtain in small quantities. The parts must be either affordable to purchase, or reasonably simple to make. The resulting product must be functional, and look good enough to sell, and well suited to the handmade and made in the US markets.
